End January I felt pain during a treadmill run…I thought about a bruise that would go away in a few days. I reduced (but kept) running maybe 2-3 times a week for 10km each time approx, with cushioning shoes and on trails whenever possible. Long story short one month later it is worse and I can barely walk the day after the 10k race in TaiTak…

And so today I learnt a new word: sesamoid bones! Under the ball of the foot and the reason it is painful indeed. Apparently I am off running for 5-6 weeks and more if its fractured (apparently rare).

Bummer I was signed up for some exciting trail races in the coming weeks…#CLASSIC#BUMMER
